BERLIN KREUZBERG BIKE TOUR
Toureninformation
We will take you to one of Berlin’s most exciting neighborhood on this bike tour: the district of Kreuzberg. During the times when Berlin was divided by the Wall the district of Kreuzberg was an unattractive place with old buildings and therefore low rents. After reunification this district has been revitalized and became a district of unbroken attraction for young Berliners and young visitors. We show you trendy beach bars, nice cafés and cool clubs. Experience with us the special lifestyle of this lively and young metropolis, and learn more about its history and inhabitants. The tour starts directly at the Television Tower at Alexanderplatz in the eastern city center. If you are travelling with your own bikes, the tour may start at any other place in downtown Berlin.
Tour description
Our bike tour starts in the eastern city center at Alexanderplatz. Our first destination is the East-Side-Gallery, the longest remaining piece of the Berlin Wall. With its colorful paintings it is also the longest open-air gallery in the world. After crossing Berlins most beautiful bridge with its striking brick towers, we will reach the trendy neighborhood around the underground station Schlesisches Tor with its numerous restaurants, trendy cafés and clubs. In the nearby park area the neighborhood residents can watch football, and are drumming, jogging and having barbecues. We will then ride along a canal where you can watch boats and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this green area. Afterwards, we will reach the area for going out and nightlife around the street Oranienstrasse. And finally we will ride along the former death strip that once divided the city and is today a park. See Berlin off the beaten paths!
